Originally from central Wisconsin, Dr. Kyle Brost graduated from Nekoosa High School in 1978 as his class valedictorian. In 1981, he graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology. He received his Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 1987.

After spending a year in an optometric practice in Warrensburg, Missouri, Dr. Brost opened his own practice in Cape Girardeau in 1989. In 1990, he opened a second location in Perryville, and in 1996, added a third location in Fredericktown. In January 2023, Brost & Associates Family Eye Care merged with Leet Eye Care.

Dr. Brost is currently on the Missouri State Board of Optometry. He is a past president of the State Board of Optometry; a past president of the Missouri Optometric Association (MOA); and past president of the North Central States Optometric Council.

He has served on various committees for the American Optometric Association (AOA). He is a member of the AOA, MOA, Southeast Missouri Optometric Society and Cape Girardeau Noon Lions Club. He is a past chairman of the Saint Francis Hospital Foundation Board.

Dr. Brost resides in Cape Girardeau with his wife, Chris. They have to adult sons, Will (St. Louis, MO) and Kevin (Louisville, KY). He enjoys scuba diving, golf, and fishing. Dr. Brost’s specialties include glaucoma and ocular disease management and contact lens practice.
