Meet Dr. Evans
Originally from Kelso, Missouri, Dr. Evans started at Leet EyeCare in 1999 after graduating from the University of Missouri – St. Louis College of Optometry that same year. She specializes in pediatric vision, eye muscle misalignment, and double vision correction. Dr. Evans is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), Missouri Optometric Association (MOA), and Southeast Optometric Society (SEOS). She is also a Vision Source provider.
Helping patients with something as integral as their sight is very rewarding for Dr. Evans. She says, “My favorite part of my job is seeing the gratitude on my patients’ faces when we have done something to truly make their lives better. The patients’ gratitude and our staff’s willingness to go above and beyond to make these life and sight changing events happen for our patients is what makes me passionate about my work.”
When she is not helping patients, Dr. Evans likes to spend time with her family– husband Barry, daughter Taylor, and son Tyson. She enjoys attending her children’s sporting and school events, boating at Kentucky Lake, exercising, and reading. She is a parishioner of St. Vincent De Paul Church in Cape and a member of the Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce.
If Dr. Evans could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, in what event would she have the best chance to medal?
